KLUANG: A headless body of a woman was found in the bushes in Kampung Parit Haji Hashim, Simpang Renggam, here at 10.25am yesterday.
Kluang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Laham said a member of the public telephoned the police about finding the body, that was only clad in a bra and a piece of cloth.
The unidentified body was lying faced-up at a spot 30m from the main road. The body’s right hand was highly decomposed.
Mohamad said initial investigation revealed the victim may have been killed about two weeks ago.
“The body was only clad in a black bra and a green cloth. We believe the victim was murdered elsewhere before the body ended up in Simpang Renggam.
“No identification documents were found on the body,” said Mohamad. A police team, which included dogs from the police K9 unit were deployed to the location.
They did not find the victim’s head after checking a 100m radius area from the spot where police found the body.
“Post mortem will be conducted today and the results could be expected by tomorrow,” said Mohamad.
