KUALA LUMPUR: Umno deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic) has refused to ‘apologise to anyone’ as he felt his statements are in line with the party’s struggles.
Speaking to reporters in Putra World Trade Centre, here, Muhyiddin said he loved the party and its members and he need not apologise for his actions.
“There is no valid reason for me to apologise. Whatever, I said was not a personal attack.
“All my statements are about the party’s leadership and principles. I don’t think they contravene the purpose and spirit of Umno struggles,” he said.
Muhyiddin said he wanted the rakyat to continue believing in Umno.
“Hence, I feel there is no reason for me to apologise. I also hope this will not be wrongly interpreted.
“Do not make assumptions, I will be here until the end of the assembly” he said.
