SERDANG: The government will ensure that no one will be left out from national development as the country heads into a more advanced economy.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said the government’s new agenda include bridging the income gaps of the people in the rural and urban areas.
“Wherever you are, we will ensure that our delivery programmes can be enjoyed by those in the rural areas.
“There will be no individuals who are not aided by the development programmes,” he said at the prize presentation of the national-level 1Malaysia Desa Sejahtera (peaceful village) award at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang here today.
Najib said rural community leaders should use economic initiatives from the government to uplift the standard of living of their fellow villagers.
“We want village community leaders to widen the use of Internet economy among the people in their areas,” he said.
Najib said the market reach of using the digital commerce would be much wider than selling their products by the roadside.
